Dar Fatyme is an ode to all women. Launched in 2016, the brand was created to heal wounds caused by a personal tragedy. "That year, I lost my mother," says its founder, Hasna Afouar.
In an attempt to get back on her feet, she uses art as an outlet, working on a series of cushions and paintings composed of collages on which the face of an Amazigh woman appears.
"I wanted to pay homage to her and to my Berber origins,"
Hasna, who grew up in a conservative family, needed to "denounce the oppression that many other women suffer," as she puts it. So she unintentionally entered the field of feminism. She simply liberated herself.
