In the Berber tradition the mask does not exist so we imagined it. This culture is rich in symbols, which are notably tattooed on the face and body. We chose three of them:
-
a masculine symbol of virility, it's the warrior.
-
a feminine symbol of motherhood and the family home
-
an eye symbol that means protection from the evil eye.
We have tattooed these symbols on mirrors, in order to have the reflection of the warrior (or the warrior!) when we look at it, the face of the mother goddess (mother goddess) or eye.
Around the mirror, a bamboo structure finishes the mask and serves as a support for an ornament in raw wool from the Middle Atlas, spun and dyed in the pure Berber tradition.
This trilogy of mirrors combines to create surprising decor, which goes both indoor and outdoor on a terrace wall.
